Embark on an extraordinary grand circuit traversing the center and eastern regions of Algeria, from the coastal Mediterranean capital of Algiers to the mountain fortress of Djemila and the dramatic bridges of Constantine.

Stage 1: Algiers — The White Citadel

Begin in Algiers, exploring the steep narrow alleys of the UNESCO-listed Kasbah, Ottoman-era palaces, the Grand Post Office, Makam Echahid (Martyrs’ Memorial), and panoramic Mediterranean views over the Bay of Algiers.

Stage 2: Tipaza (Tipazza) — Ancient Coastal Haven

Travel west along the turquoise Mediterranean coast to Tipaza. Explore ancient Phoenician and Roman ruins resting directly beside the sea, the ancient Christian basilica, and the Royal Mausoleum of Mauretania (Tombeau de la Chrétienne).

Stage 3: Djemila (Djmila) — Mountain Roman Citadel

Journey east towards Djemila (ancient Cuicul), one of the best-preserved Roman mountain cities in the world. Walk through the Arch of Caracalla, the ancient forums, the amphitheater, and marvel at the world-famous Mosaic Museum.

Stage 4: Constantine — City of Suspension Bridges

Arrive in Constantine, the ancient Numidian capital (Cirta). Walk across the breathtaking Sidi M’Cid suspension bridge spanning deep ravines, visit the historic Ottoman Palace of Ahmed Bey, and admire the majestic Emir Abdelkader Mosque.
